Odoo Shopify integration
Odoo runs your stock and finance; Shopify sells. We connect them so products, stock and orders flow automatically, on whichever Odoo version and hosting you actually run.

What syncs
What moves between Odoo and Shopify
Every flow is scoped up front - what goes where, which way, and how often.
Products and variants
A product.template with its attributes and variants becomes a Shopify product with variants by SKU, including images and descriptions if you manage them in Odoo.
Price lists
Store pricing comes from Odoo Pricelists, including per-customer-group lists for B2B and date-bound promotions.
Stock by warehouse
Quantities from stock.quant by warehouse and location map to Shopify locations, with the option of available stock after reservations.
Orders
Every Shopify order is created as a sale.order in Odoo with lines, discounts, shipping and payment, and triggers your picking and delivery flow.
Customers
A res.partner is created or matched by email and phone. Business customers get their own price list and payment terms.
Invoices and shipments
The invoice (account.move) is raised in Odoo with your localisation; delivery status and tracking return to Shopify.
How it works
Five steps, no surprises
From a short scoping session to ongoing maintenance. You know at every point what's being built, what's been tested and what's live.
- 1
Scoping: what connects to what
A short working session where we mark exactly what moves between Odoo and Shopify, and in which direction: products and prices, stock by warehouse, orders, customers, invoices, shipment status. You leave with a short, plain spec and no surprises later.
- 2
Access and permissions
We set up a dedicated API user in Odoo with the minimum permissions it needs, and a custom app in Shopify with exactly the scopes required. If you have a sandbox or test company, we build against that first.
- 3
Field mapping and build
We map SKUs and variants, price lists and tax, shipping and payment methods, then build the integration on our own service with logging and alerts. Every business rule you have - what happens when an item sells out mid-checkout, for instance - gets a defined behaviour.
- 4
Testing in parallel
We run test orders end to end, stock scenarios, returns and credit notes, and check that the numbers in Odoo and Shopify match exactly. Only once everything reconciles do we connect the live store.
- 5
Go-live and maintenance
We launch with monitoring on and watch the first days closely. Later changes - a new field, another warehouse, a second store, a rule that changed - are an update to an integration that already exists, not a new project.
The technical side
How we connect to Odoo
Odoo's own connector is narrow
Odoo's first-party Shopify connector only runs on Odoo.sh and requires version 19. It also imports products from Shopify into Odoo rather than publishing them from Odoo - the opposite of what most merchants want when Odoo holds the catalogue. On anything older, self-hosted or on Odoo Online, the choice is a third-party connector or a custom integration.
Odoo's API
We work against Odoo's API (XML-RPC / JSON-RPC) and Shopify webhooks, with a dedicated integration user. That works on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh and self-hosted alike, and on any recent version.
Community or Enterprise
Both are supported. Community has no Shopify connector of any kind, so the integration is built as a module or an external service.
Tax and localisation
Tax, invoicing and reporting stay in Odoo with your country's localisation module; Shopify receives the document to send to the customer.
Timing and logic
Orders move immediately; stock and prices on a short interval you choose. Every run is logged, every failure raises an alert.
Other systems
We connect these too.
Same process, different ERP. Each one gets its own field mapping.

Shopify ERP Integration: Connector, iPaaS or Custom - How to Choose
There are three ways to connect an ERP to Shopify: the vendor's own connector, an integration platform like Celigo, or a custom build. What each one actually covers, what the official connectors leave out, and the rules that decide which you need.
Shopify to Shopify Plus: When to Upgrade (2026 Guide)
Most Shopify brands should upgrade to Plus when revenue passes $1M and operational limits start costing more than the $2,300/month fee. Here's the honest cost breakdown, the operational signals, and a 90-day migration plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Doesn't Odoo have its own Shopify connector?
Since version 19, on Odoo.sh only. If you're on 19 and Odoo.sh and your needs are simple, it can be enough - we'll tell you honestly. Most merchants are on an earlier version or other hosting, or need Odoo to own the catalogue, and that's where a custom integration comes in.
We're on Odoo Online. Are there limits?
Odoo Online doesn't allow third-party or custom modules, so we work through the API as an external service. Every capability is preserved.
What happens when something fails, like an order that doesn't come through?
The integration retries automatically, and if the problem persists it sends an alert with the order and the reason. Everything runs through a queue, so any order can be replayed. No order disappears quietly.
How long does it take?
It depends on scope. Connecting stock and orders is faster than a project with B2B price lists and several warehouses. After scoping you get an exact timeline before anything is built.
We're on Odoo Community. Is that possible?
Yes. Community has no Shopify connector, so we build the integration as an Odoo module or an external service. The result is the same.
Do you implement Odoo too?
We specialise in the Shopify side and in connecting the two systems. If you're mid-implementation, we'll work with your Odoo partner on the scoping.
Can we start with part of it and extend later?
Yes, and it's what we recommend. Start with whatever hurts most - usually stock and orders - then add invoices, B2B customers or another store as an update to the integration you already have.
Do you work with Shopify Plus?
Yes. Shopify Plus adds native B2B, company price lists and checkout extensibility, and we use them wherever they make the integration simpler or more capable.
